Care 4 Kids and Kids Castle Child Care Learning Center

Care 4 Kids is a state funded program to make child care more affordable for low to moderate income families in Connecticut. Kid's Castle partners with Care 4 Kids to provide more options to eligible families in need of financial assistance with childcare. Please see below for frequently asked questions:

  • What is Care 4 Kids?

    The Care 4 Kids program is to make child care affordable through vouchers.

  • Are there requirements?

    Yes. There are income, working / schooling and residency requirements.

  • How old can a child be to receive Care 4 kids at your facility?

    Between 6 weeks and less than 13 years old.

  • Can school children get it?

    Yes. Your child can even get Care 4 Kids during the summer vacation at our summer camp.

  • Is there an application?

    Yes. The application and all documentation may be submitted through our daycare centers.

  • When can I start my child in daycare?

    With our pre-approval program, we can start your child as soon as all the documents are handed in (through us) and approved by us.

  • Are there any other charges?

    Yes. Care 4 Kids is a huge assistance, but unfortunately it does not cover the entire cost of daycare. The final out of pocket cost of daycare will depend on the Care 4 Kids reimbursement versus total cost of daycare. The average parent pays less than $90 a week out of pocket.
